The Work ofthe Holy Spirit: An Atheist's Journey to God

Born into the Jewish Faith in Brooklyn, New York during the 1950s and a true "child of the 70s", Gary Arkin talks about how conversion came to him through the loving efforts of the Holy Spirit in spite of all of the internal and external attempts to oppose it. "There was no listening to a still, small voice here. It was not until I was knocked out and down for the count that I was willing to listen", he tells us.

Traveling the road from the world's view of success which is lined with spiritual emptiness, to seeking a place in God's plan for your life is often a difficult one.

Now, after giving up many things that were held so dear, he is searching for that "pearl of great value". A divorced father of three, Gary is now balancing cooking, cleaning, and parenting with his job working for the Diocese of Brooklyn and devoting time for his great desire for evangelization.
